The water keeps coming…

February Community dinner was a bit of an adventure due to flooding. Feasting, night hikes, hot spring soaks were enjoyed despite the rain. Lake “tree house” was in full effect. Type II fun included: getting stuck in the mud, several victorious creek crossings, ticks, a power outage (resulting in candles/late night games) and one injured paw. Projects included: cleaning the “funk shack”, fixing kitchen lights, chopping wood, making the barn loft more comfortable for “camping” and more Shou Sugi Ban (thanks Bub!). Possible new rule: only AWD/4WD on the road if it’s wet. Favorite foods: Sikil Pak (Mayan Pumpkin seed dip), Green Chili, Ginger Snaps & K’s mash up cookies. Who had the most fun? The DOGS! Gleeful and hilarious zoomies seemed to be enjoyed by all (Rue, Boomerang, Christie, Zoey & Perl). Wish we had Perls aerial cart wheels on film! Community Dinners are what brings this place alive right now - ever so grateful.
